About me
Hello! I’m Vaughn, a journalist based in New York City and open to reporting positions nationwide.
I’m currently a newsletter writer for The Action Lab, a New York non-profit focused on stimulating economic and racial justice. I also bartend to make ends meet and freelance for local papers like The Indypendent. In the past, I’ve written for the features section at The Portland Press Herald, for news and politics at the Colorado Times Recorder, and I was the editor-in-chief at The Bowdoin Orient, the oldest college weekly in the country.
My passion for journalism stems from a deep curiosity for people, an obsession with learning new things, and a love for storytelling.
